Dimitris Ampeliotis was born in Athens, Greece, in 1979. He received the Diploma degree in computer engineering and informatics, the MSc degree in signal processing, and the Ph.D. degree in signal processing and communications, all from the University of Patras, Greece, in 2002, 2004 and 2009, respectively. Since 2003, he has been a Researcher with the Computer Technology Institute (CTI) and Press “Diophantus”, Patras, Greece. Also, since 2010 he works as an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences (TEI) of western Greece and at the University of Patras, Greece. His research interests include distributed algorithms for estimation problems, source localization, dictionary learning methods, cooperative game theory, signal processing for communications and medical image processing. Dr. Ampeliotis is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece, a member of EURASIP and a member of the IEEE.
