I-Bin Liao (M’16)received the B.S. degree in National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, in 1998, and the M.S.degree in communication engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2000. I am a Researcher in the Telecommunication Laboratories(TL), Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd. My main interest is currently speech synthesis and audio event detection. Previous experience includes research and development in areas of Centrex/IP-Centrex IVR system, music information retrieval, and speech recognition. I joined TL in 2001 and currently I am leading the TL multimedia retrieval project
