Mohammed E. Eltayeb received the B.E. degree (with honors) in electronics engineering from Sudan University of Science & Technology, Khartoum, Sudan, in 2004, the M.Sc. degree in telecommunications engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from The University of Akron, Akron, Ohio, USA, in 2014. He was a visiting scholar at the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, during the summer of 2013. From 2015-2017, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin. He was also affiliated with the Center of Transportation Research at The University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Eltayeb is currently with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, California State University at Sacramento (CSUS) as an Assistant Professor. His research interests lie on the general area of physical and MAC layer protocols of wireless networks with special interests in opportunistic communication, performance analysis and modeling of communication networks, millimeter-wave communications, and applications of communication technologies in intelligent transportation systems.
