Seyed Hamid Safavi was born in Ardabil, Iran. He received B.Sc. and M.sc degrees in electrical engineering both from K. N. Toosi University of Technology (KNTU), Tehran, Iran in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Currently, He is a Ph.D student in Electrical engineering (Signal Processing) in Shahid Beheshti University (SBU). From 2011 to 2012 he was a Research Assistant with the Spread Spectrum and Wireless Communication Laboratory of KNTU and currently he is with the cognitive communication research group of SBU. He was also a visiting fellow at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) from December 2015 to September 2016. His research interests include Signal and Image Processing, Machine Learning, Compressive Sensing, Sparse Representation, Linear Inverse Problems, and Convex Optimization.
