{Yingbo Hua} (S'86-M'88-SM'92-F'02) was born in China in 1960, who received a B.S. degree in 1982 from Southeast University, China, and a Ph.D. degree in 1988 from Syracuse University, USA. He became a Reader and Associate Professor with the University of Melbourne, Australia, in 1996, and a Full Professor with the University of California at Riverside in 2001, where he advanced to Professor IX in 2019.
Dr. Hua has published hundreds of articles in signal processing, wireless communications and sensor networks. His recent interests of research focus on wireless network security. He has served in a number of editorial and leadership roles for IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, IEEE Signal Processing Letters, Signal Processing, IEEE Signal Processing Magazine, IEEE Journal of Selected Areas in Communications, IEEE Wireless Communications Letters, and IEEE Transactions on Signal and Information Processing over Networks. He is a Fellow of IEEE from 2002 and a Fellow of AAAS from 2011.
