ICASSP is the world's largest and most comprehensive technical conference on signal processing and its applications. It provides a fantastic networking opportunity for like-minded professionals from around the world. ICASSP 2016 conference will feature world-class presentations by internationally renowned speakers and cutting-edge session topics.

We formulate and study a multi-user multi-armed bandit (MAB) problem that exploits the temporal-spatial reuse of primary user (PU) channels so that secondary users (SUs) who do not interfere with each other can make use of the same PU channel. We first propose a centralized channel allocation policy that has logarithmic regret, but requires a central processor to solve a NP-complete optimization problem at exponentially increasing time intervals.

Superimposed pilots are proposed as an alternative to time-multiplexed pilot and data symbols for mitigating pilot contamination in massive multiple-input multiple-output systems. Provided that the uplink duration is larger than the total number of users in the system, superimposed pilots enable each user to be assigned a unique pilot sequence, thereby allowing for a significant reduction in pilot contamination. Channel estimation performance in the uplink is further improved using an iterative data-aided algorithm.

Linear canonical transform (LCT) is an attractive and useful tool in optics and signal processing. In previous work, a generalization of the LCT with two extra parameters, called offset LCT (OLCT), has been developed. In this paper, a different definition of OLCT is proposed, which has a more concise form of inverse transform. We find a linear operator that commutes with the proposed OLCT. We prove that the commuting operator and the proposed OLCT have the same set of eigenfunctions with different eigenvalues.
